Huey got Grandpa so confused that Grandpa forgot Huey’s supposed to be in school.

Nice shirt, though. Huey looks quite dapper!

I apologize, I have not been able to read Boondocks in a LONG TIME, and just realized that the cartoon was here. So, would anyone be able to give me a synopsis leading up to this point concerning Huey and Riley…. are they now living with their Grandfather? If so, what happened or changed? Were they previously in a different school district or were the previously actually home schooled? What lead to their going to this J. Edgar Hoover Elementary School?

The comic strip ended years ago, 2006 I think. They Huey and Riley were never home schooled. This is near the beginning of the strip’s syndication, after moving into Woodcrest and getting the school situation set up.

As for the show, the fourth season is about to start on April 21st. There aren’t really any story arcs in the show (might change this season), so you wouldn’t need to do much catching up. It wouldn’t hurt to check out a few episodes at first because there are a few charcters that weren’t in the strip, or some, like Uncle Ruckus, who was introduced near the strip’s end.
