I was assigned TAD to Korea for two weeks and found a wonderful restaurant that had One Stew, Two Stew and Three Stew on the menu. The last day there I had fallen in love with the One Stew so much I asked the owner for the recipe, and the owner said that his wife would type the recipe for me, her English was better. But I must see the source of the ingredients to understand the reason the stew was so good. A short ride later I was at some carefully tended gardens, after seeing beautiful well tended plants, all from imported “Ferry-Morris Seeds” he took me to the barns top see his animals. The barns and pens were in better repair than those on many American farms, and the chickens, sheep, pigs, cows and other animals seemed happy and well cared for. Finally he takes me to a pen of dogs that looked like beagles poured into yellow lab pelts and he says “Sharpei! The best for One Stew.” I was eating dog for over two weeks and loved it. I use his recipe, but I make it with lamb.

I have a hard time even thinking of eating Elk, Deer, Antilope, or Bison! Lots of people up here like it all…..but I guess i just love looking at those beautiful animals, and not eating. :(((
We got about 5 inches of snow overnight. :)) Nothing compared to our friends out East. They had a really tough time of it, we see. The ski resort 13 miles west of us got 13 inches overnight. We haven’t had any snow for over a month, so anything is welcome!
MayKitten…..and Sojo……I love my doggies, too! But, not in a stew!
On that note, I’ll stop by Grog’s buffet and pick up some DWFNC to go along with my cheesecake. :))

I only eat 3 of the domesticated animals and I can’t look any of them in the eye. If I did, I know I couldn’t eat them anymore and I like meat.

Luckily I can compartmentalise animals and meat. Horse meat, anyone?
