    Well now, the little bugger has learned some math.

    He may even be applying (gasp) Algebra!

    It really gets to be fun when your allowance comes from the money that your dad takes from your other pocket, so that every time he gives you another dollar, it costs you an extra dollar and five cents to live.

    Statistics can justify almost anything. Breathing is a health hazard as 100% of people that do, eventually don’t survive.

    I tried that with my boss for my annual review, he said “sorry can’t, need to keep increasing profits” I replied "but the company used to have only a 5% profit margin, now it is 15% and they can’t give us all raises to keep up with inflation he says “If we did that we would be back down to the 5% profit margin again, no can do.”

    Time for the father to bring out the chart of living expenses vs the amount of chores the kid does.

    Put one foot in a bucket of boiling water and the other in a bucket of ice cold water and, statistically, you’re comfy.

    Figures don’t lie. Liars figure.

    Robert Strange McNamara briefed the Vietnam War this way. “When the bomb tonnage line crosses the body count line …” – Yes, that is what the “S” stands for.

    Watching CNBC does not encourage the critical thinking required for that graph. If you want to stop this sort of behavior, put the kid in a public school.

    @Bruno Zeigerts

    I like that. I had a similar talk with my oldest son who figured his allowance was too low. I asked what he thought it should be. He said $5/week. I asked what extra chores he was going to do around the house to earn it. Horrified look Then I told him I knew how he could make $12/week. We have three bathrooms . . . . He left and I never heard any more about allowance raises.

    Could you please document this? Oh, you heard it on FoX? Then it must be true…..
    -————————————————————————-

    Faux News? Get real! It’s from an actual California newspaper a few years ago.

    So far 100% of the people who have been born either have died or will die in the future… Birth is a health hazard!!!!

    In other words you can’t document it and expect people to believe this… in court that would be called ‘Hearsay". I refuse to believe you couldn’t find someone who wouldn’t work for $2000.00 a week (assuming an 8 hour day/40 hour week) in this economy.
