Barkeater Lake by Corey Pandolph for June 06, 2015
Transcript:
Clerk: Hello. Delores: Hi. I believe you have a message for me... Clerk: Ok... And you are? Delores: Tanzini, room 512... I just checked in 15 minutes ago! Delores: I don't understand why you couldn't give me the message on the phone. Clerk: Hotel security. How am I supposed to be sure you are who you say you are on the phone? Delores: Okaaay... Whatever. Can I just have the message? Clerk: Certainly. I'll just need to see some ID.
Something that has always bothered me about this day’s strip: The running gag is how small Barkeater Lake is, but Delores is in room 512. That’s an awfully big hotel, no matter how they numbered it. In a real small town she’d be in room 5.
