I don’t know, Gene seems to be enjoying his bit of forced parkour.

Gene may not win but he’s on track for a personal best time.

This parkour really was planned by Gene. Why else would he have a prime rib in the briefcase and gone two blocks out of his way?

    Yeah. he seems happy enough….

Maybe the caption means we’ll see the bad stuff happen in the next frame. if we keep watching.

But there isn’t one of those triangular arrow thingies ( ▶ ) to click, so it’s not like a YouTube video.

And besides, I don’t want to see any bad stuff….

Let’s just leave Gene right here, in blissful ignorance.

The reason Gene is smiling is that he is singing “Over the River and Through the Woods” while running this course.

For his part, Frankenpuppy is angry since it isn’t even the 4th of July yet, and someone is singing a Thanksgiving song. He hates that.

I am reminded of a story I heard some years back ( I think on a “Dumb crook news” type thing.) about a perp being chased by the police. They wraned the guy that they were turning the dog loose if he didn’t stop. The dog had been purchased from a Dutch trainer so his commands are in that language. The cops sent the dog with the command Knokken (or something equivilent) and the dog took chase. The crook, thinking he was clever and would make friends with the dog by calling his “name” which is what the brainchild thought the officer was doing when he sent the dog. Over and over he he hollored Knokken . How did that turn out for him? Well, it appears that Gene is about to get the same treatment.

Is everybody absolutely sure that “Gene” isn’t the dog?

Frankenpuppy (Yeah WH what?) is a foster dog. Mrs. Higgenpooder is fostering him. And she is supposed to teach him new tricks.,

Well we all know Mrs. H’s disposition…….and she has a few tricks up her ample sleeve

.For example Gene there has been cutting across her lawn for years. And Happy’s bunnies get loose and eat her Peonies, and Susan’s new assistant (now long gone) accidentally dyed Mrs. H’s hair a shade too blue. and don’t forget Mist who keeps pilfering her unmentionables off the clothes line. There’s gonna be a bunch of bad dogs ’fore long!

    Rose & Mist

Hey, I didn’t name him. That was some of Mrs Higgenpooder doing. she created him using those “tricks” and her disposition. I heard that he also has a penchant for music, seems to calm him down….but don’t try to get the Ballard Street Barbershop Balladeers, he’s not into that variety of music (he prefers classical). And since their run in with him, there are a couple more sopranos in the group.

BTW: should we warn Sterling? I think he is still wearing those slippers on his ears and won’t be able to hear the thundering paws of approaching terror.

Gene the dog fails to compensate for the prey’s aggressive left turn. Gene will overshoot allowing the prey to escape…….another thrilling moment from the Suburban Jungle.
