    Good Morning, all . . .

I’m glad Doc is calming Mary down and can explain his and Alley’s presence.

Not sure how she will be able to process Doc’s explanation that he’s from her future and Oop’s from a time way before hers…Meanwhile, the rain is pouring down and Doc’s hood should be pretty full of water by now.

Probably more like a minute or so, not a few seconds, but whatever. Holding the ipod thing out in the rain isn’t really the best thing either.

Seems like the good doctor likes the unexpected company. Too bad her hands are bigger than Oop´s.

    Morning, Oopsters.
Today’s conversation is necessary to the story, so I can’t fault Carole for including it, but it should have happened weeks ago. It was actually four weeks ago (our time) that Mary first saw Alley in the distance. Four weeks. Four! Count them. Four! 28 days!

is his name an anagram for something i’m missing?

His name is Wonmug. When V.T. Hamlin invented Alley Oop back in the 30’s, he invented this name as kind of a spoof of Einstein. In German, “ein” means “one.” And a “stein” is a mug. Thus “Wonmug” sort of sounds like “One mug.”

The way this story is getting dragged out – I’m going to need a stein full to dull the pain of boredom.

Actually, Hamlin got it wrong. “Stein” is the German word for “stone.” Einstein’s name literally means “One Stone.” A German mug is really called a “Krϋg.” Americans called the German mugs “steins” because they were as heavy as stones. If Hamlin had striven for accuracy, he would have named the Doc, “Wonstone” or maybe “Wonrock” or something like that.

    Jeepers, man…they meet at last!
I thought it would never happen.
    And doesn’t Doc look handsome?
He is such a nice guy. :)

Good Morning Benders, John Wooley and readers of Alley
Oop. Doc really needs a schtick. to fall back on. If the people think his equipment is blackmagic, he needs to
borrow from the Wizer and proclaim himself the great and powerful Wizer of Moo visiting the land. I doubt Mary Godwin
is going to forget the black magic devices used in front of
her eyes. Doc’s approach will work fro about 5 minutes.
I am Dr Wonmug and on the mountain is my minion, Igor,
I mean Alley Oop, Don’t worry lady we are not suspicious
    type people. We’re from Canada.

Good, finally they talk to each other.
    What’s next……………..I can’t wait to see.
In the mean time I think I’ll tip a few Colorado Cool-Aids
Stein or no Stein it matters not. :-)
