A rather obvious idea, really, but not bad.

I suppose this could start a fad in Moo.

Since the Mayan balls were supposedly heavier than balls currently used for most modern sports, it seems like it might be time for someone to invent bowling! Just a tip for all of those who are annoyed by the various posts which are posted in the comments section – Yahoo has resumed posting Alley Oop and, as a general rule, Yahoo has most of their new comics posted about an hour before Go Comics has their new comics posted. You can just Google Alley Oop Yahoo and it will come up immediately. As nearly as I can tell, Yahoo Comics are not set up to include comments with the comics. I don’t know about anyone else – but I was reading Alley Oop at Yahoo before they moved over to Go Comics. .

    Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 16 “Earth 2 Crisis”(31) 1/31/2013

    Panel One

“How far?” Asks Alley as they moved to where the EM energies are coming from.

    Panel Two

“Looks like about 5 miles from our present position.” Lavainge told them over the short distance comm links.

    Panel Three

“Okay Oscar, send the bird on ahead.” Lavainge ordered.

    Panel Four

Out front on his ebony dinosaur ride he tells the bird to “fly point” and then she alights from the back of the beast into the air and is soon barely in sight.

Then I can deduce there aren’t many kids in the kingdom. There are 200 hundred balls tops (estimated considering the empty green-grass space between them), and each kid will receive one, so do the math. A very underpopulated kingdom, Moo.

King Guzzle is there, but where is Queen Umpateedle?
    .
Also, I don’t recall ever seeing any children in the strip.

From time to time, kids are seen but not often. Usually it’s for some part of a story line. With these balls appearing, perhaps there will be kids seen. Umpateedle also isn’t seen that often, mainly if she’s part of the story line.

There was an adventure a few years ago that involved two children—boys, of course. They met a witch—an old friend of Alley’s—and wound up flying home with wings provided by the witch.

Well, if the Moovians are to survive as a people there must be girls as well as boys! I would be very difficult to have new Moovians without girls!

Who among us will propose to Guz’s daughter? You could be a King someday!

    Close, but try this:
“An obvious idea, but not bad.
In Moo this could start a fad.”
    Better?

We must remember that those balls are solid. So they are both heavy and hard. Not good for much except for batting and catching is out of the question. Maybe they could make door stops if they create doors.

We might be seeing a number of black eyes among the children of Moo, and if they had windows there, they would have a few less before long.

Part of the enjoyment of GoComics is the comment section. If you don’t like the comments, dont read them and dont post any.
Personally, I like reading and posting.

Happy New Year to the Benders and all the satisfied and
unsatisfied readers of Alley Oop. Foozy had a great idea.
Guz may have expanded on it. If Foozy meant the children
of the city of Moo. Guz is saying all kids in the kingdom
which includes all the farms, swamps, and jungle between
the city and the kingdom of Moo’s border. One such kingdom bordering the kingdom of Moo is Lem ruled by
rival King Turk. Even if the kids don’t play with the balls they
    will make great paperweights.
