Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 15 “House of the Worm”(66) 10/7/12
Panel One
IN the “House of the Worm” Dr.s Tucker and Avril work to piece together Dr. Tucker’s prototype ghost destroyer. But time is running out and at the fall of night the Entity will be at its strongest.
Panel Two
In Thailand the new king Sonkrahm Nogul I is consolidating his power and with the help of the elusive but dangerous, an ageless Dr. Hanoi Zin, he can remake Thailand into a whole new kind of society. First the central blue strip in the national flag will be replaced with red of the one only used for the year in 1917. Re-adoption of the Siamese “White Chakra” as a national symbol. Along with the Garuda and white six-tusked elephant. Dr. Zin has used his technology of robot spies, hovercrafts, Initia ray and other devices and strategies of his own devising and introduced the Ashida Dragon (gene engineered from Zin’s Indonesian island Toboro lizard from a dead Japanese scientist years ago.) as guardians.) He won’t lose the Americans since their presence will be not only maintained but expanded. They won’t protest too much, dictatorship and them are old friends.
His will be like no other with Zin’s help. He says that Belo-Rada will be on our side as will others. His contact with a “Doctor Dark” has said so. The Americans are ready to use Thailand as a massive base and jumping off point to make more inroads into Asia and work to counter China’s expanding mercantile influence. Members of ALEC also see potential but the formidable billionaire Oliver Warbucks does not. He could be a problem
Panel Three
Back at Green light base General Mann has been informed via Dr. Wonmug about the TexComm beachhead on Earth 2 has had an ‘encounter’ with something strange and powerful. But as yet unknown. The General really wants Alley and Dr. Avril back so that he can investigate this. Why did they leave their cell phones behind? He does what he can to find out where they went. He needs them here stat!
This story arc is clearly just part of a bigger story. Who’s operating the time machines that sent Yochi to Moo? (And then Ooola and Alley to Chichen Itza.) Does that have anything to do with the mysterious man from Mondovia, who appeared in Moo some time ago, and left with Lola (who was pretending to be Ooola). For that matter, is there also a link with the Earth 2 story? Will the mysterious time-travel mischief maker cause more trouble? <=> As Emerson might have said, if he were posting here: a comic is a journey, not a destination. Let’s enjoy the story as it unfolds, and not be impatient about getting to the end.
1. Monday strip preview: I prefer to get new drawings on sundays or better, a different story on Sundays just like what existed in the past…
2. The Time machine.
We are all aware that such machine cannot exists (physics and religious reasons). I will let you discuss about the physical reasons and just say about the religious reason:
We are said to have a free wil and that the future is not written. So if I go to the past (your past, reader) and if I tell you about your future, this will prove that the future is written and we do not have free will.
Also, with current technology, it is very easy to go to the past, in Sinai mountain at Moses (Moshe) times and talk to him with a loud voice and display a non burning tree.
3. I love Alley Oop and it fills my needs. It allows me to know about past history for example, read all the stories that involves time travels ;-:)
I forgot to tell in my point #3: Learning about different customs can lead to respect for these different cultures. I would never know that Moïse name is Moses in English or Moshe in Jew if I do not liked Isaac Hayes or work with Jews children…
There is no Halloween for Christians, but seing children faces with smile is better than silver or golden coins in the pocket.
Thanksgiving is also something I really like, but in France we do not have this.

Every Sunday the Benders show us that they only have 2 days of material, but by only showing 2 panels per day and adding needless filler they make it last all week.
Alley Oop is the classic caveman comic strip revolving around the irrepressible Alley Oop, who travels from prehistoric Moo all the way to the 21st century in his friend Doc Wonmug's time machine.
