Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 15 “House of the Worm”(67) 10/8/12
Panel One
Dr. Tucker first got the idea to build a smaller hand held device from Bob Flickenger, who on his own constructed a hand-held version of the Tesla coil. He got the idea from a what if novel of Dr. Tesla and Samual Clemens fighting Thomas Edison. Tesla used some “Steampunk” guns to subdue hoodlums. Flinkenger wanted to do it for real. Well Dr. Tucker wanted his own real ghost destroying weapon.
Panel Two
Alley didn’t have much to do while the more delicate assembly was done for the PNE gun by Dr. Tucker and Lavainge. Baroness von Clace was smoking again, not the sweet Mississippi cigars of 1857, but a somewhat unpleasant odor from a brown cigarette she has stuck into her black smoking tube. She just watches him.
Panel Three
Alley did some one and two finger push ups to pass the time till it is ready to go. After awhile he wanted to look around but Baroness didn’t want to go so he had to wait. His club is good in a fight but not against a whiff of smoke like ectoplasm.
I doubt it. After a time travel episode, Oop usually discovers that the person he met up with did something great in history. Oop will probably discover in one of Doc Wonmug’s books that Yochi was one of the greatest Incan rulers.
Alley and Yochi, unite in a crisis to save, Yochi’s life? Or Alley and Olga run for their lifes? What a decision to make. Will they make the the right one, WOW!
Per the Bender’s story, I don’t care how my kidnapper keeps a promise of releasing me after my honey wins a game; I do not believe I’d give him a kiss on the cheek! But then again, I’m not as pretty as Ooola is, either! . Is this trend going to continue? Will the story actually progress on Monday instead of being the last 2 panels from Sunday? I’m grudgingly pleased with the progression, but I’m waiting to see if it continues.
