Tony Cochran’s Agnes is a whimsical look at childhood through the eyes of the title character and her best friend, Trout. What sets this strip apart is the focus on that limbo just before little girls discover boys and appropriate social skills.

Good choice. A pony with no legs really shows off her skills.
No distracting motion, no bumps, no spills, no competition for longest, most slender legs.
Agnes is a shining paragon of positivity …
She stares in the mirror at her own imperfection ….
and reads it as “I’m perfection.”

It’s great that Agnes has the kind of dreams that enable her to escape her boring, impoverished existence.
Now, if she only had a friend that would encourage her instead of always putting her down.

I’m undecided on whether she’s cute.

Agnes’s long feet should help her balance considerably – knocking her down would be as challenging as pushing over a rocking chair.
