Tony Cochran’s Agnes is a whimsical look at childhood through the eyes of the title character and her best friend, Trout. What sets this strip apart is the focus on that limbo just before little girls discover boys and appropriate social skills.

Pretend the columns of figures are sugarplums, Agnes. The time will just dance by.

ADD can’t be treated by the school principal.
Unless he carries Ritolin.

maybe no drugs, …. but Agnes is out of Teacher’s hair for a few minutes. (and getting to tap dance on the Principal’s head…lol)

Nor can ADD or ADHD be diagnosed through a comic strip. The fact that Agnes’ inability to concentrate, nonetheless, seems to be seasonally related rather than ADD or suchlike.

One of the many things I love about this strip is that if the teacher is in column one, one can be certain the principal’s plaque will be in the last column.
