Does “Irrelevance” mean wasting a vote on a third party?

Without a moderate consensus in governing any choice is irrelevant in a broken non-collaborative system where extremists rule alternatively.

Indiana’s (closed) primary is this Tuesday. I’m pondering whether or not to select the GOP ballot. The reasons for this are that Braun is s-o-o-o bad of a politician, and that there is no chance that a Democrat will win any state wide office. Hence the two parties in Indiana are GOP and Irrelevant. Therefore, the only viable way to vote AGAINST Braun is to cast a vote FOR one of the GOP alternatives. Braun will win of course. He has more money — which is the only and essential way a candidate can have a chance to win. He also has the required stupidity and incompetence which fit to a nicety the preferences of the GOP super-majority electorate here in the Hoosier state.

My daughter chose Irrelevance instead of Hillary thinking she was making some good sort of statement. I haven’t gotten over it. I don’t mention it to her but it still bothers me. At least she didn’t vote for Trump.

Any vote that’s not for President Joe Biden is a vote for Drumpf, no matter which other box you check. The fact is, we must vote blue for every office in order to save our country from the fascists. The civilized world is counting on us.

We’ve seen what the Democrats brought us over the past 4 years. And easily can compare it to what a GOP President did for us 4 years prior. Some would have you think this is a one issue campaign. They take you for a fool.

The trouble is, voting on the irrelevance ticket might be quite fulfilling, making a statement about the way things are and all that, but it would take away another vote that should go to President Biden. He is the only real choice.

There’s an old saying “If voting made any difference, they’d make it illegal”. Therefore, since the GOP is doing everything in it’s power to purge, suppress, and intimidate as many potential democratic voters as possible voting MUST make ALL the difference.

With the 2 party system, few people are going to get everything they want. They can still support a party and push the party to adopt their viewpoints; it’s frustrating but the only other viable choice is not voting. Voting for a 3rd party is a protest vote. This fall, if enough do it in key states, can result in another term for Perp2024.

2 things..1) I guess walking the picket line with the striking automakers didn’t help. Joe Biden Loses to ‘Uncommitted’ in Dearborn, Michigan by Over 1,000 Votes.2) The comparisons of Biden to Jimmy Carter continue. Joe Biden lost the American Samoa Democratic primary to little-known candidate Jason Palmer, becoming the first incumbent president to lose a primary since Jimmy Carter in 1980.But don’t worry democrats. People are happy about raging inflation, high grocery prices, 9 million illegal aliens, increasing crime, student riots etc. Keep up the good work.

Good news, instability in the Republican National Committee.

Google: Charlie Spies Republican National Committee

“NBC News previously reported that Spies was hired in March to lead the committee’s legal efforts amid the RNC leadership overhaul, when former President Donald Trump endorsed Michael Whatley to helm the organization, effectively reshaping the committee in his image.”

It’s an unscientific poll, but the current Clay Bennett poll is 4% R and 96% BLUE for democracy, for decency, for functional government, for reproductive freedom, for choice of who is your spouse or lover freedom, for the non-super rich billionaire, for the person, not the corporation.

Gee thanks guys, baldly making the assumption that these are mostly old white males, and I’ll repent if that is not the complete and absolute truth.

David Sedaris on undecided voters – “To put them in perspective, I think of being on an airplane. The flight attendant comes down the aisle with her food cart and, eventually, parks it beside my seat. “Can I interest you in the chicken?” she asks. "Or would you prefer the platter of sh!t with bits of broken glass in it? To be undecided in this election is to pause for a moment and then ask how the chicken is cooked.”

Speaking of Biden, If other Presidents spoke like Biden 1) Fourscore and seven…eight…hundred…sixtyfive million…billion million…years…anyway. 2) Mr. Gorbachev, tear down …you know…the thing. 3) Yesterday, December 47th, a day that will live in infamanarathgary, America was attacked by the air and naval forces of the Empire of Mexico. 4) Ask not what your country can do for you…ask…ask what…ask not what you can do for…ask things. 5) That depends on the definition of “start quote” is "end quote is. 6) Read my lips. No…new…hotel junk fees. 6) Speak softly and carry…ah…well, anyway. 7) The only thing we have to fear is…pause.

This may the most RELEVANT election we will have. Electing Trump is a big step towards Authoritarianism – see Project 2025. Electing Biden will keep our messy, wonderful constitutional experiment intact and ongoing.

In this case, “irrelevant” stands for “it’s irrelevant to me whether Biden facilitates a genocide with our tax dollars or trump facilitates a genocide with our tax dollars, as long as a bunch of college kids can get a good police beating every day for opposing them.”
