I think of Greta Thunberg as sort of the Donald J. Trump of environmental activism. They’re both completely bereft of expertise, experience and credibility. They’re around the same age developmentally — although that’s probably stretching it with Trump. And they’re both emotionally unstable and could come unglued at any moment. The biggest differences are, Greta can read, she beats T-bone on brainpower, and she’s in the right concerning climate change.
If you’re voluntarily willing to spend more than ~3 seconds watching Greta Thunberg videos, you deserve to lose all hope. Her entire media coverage was a coordinated effort put forward and managed by the Columbia School of Journalism in coordination with over 350 news agencies and groups. Congratulations, People. You were played by an ad campaign put on by the folks who are supposed to be teaching journalists how to be impartial observers and reporters. Proof? Google “Exclusive: inside the media conspiracy to hype Greta Thunberg”.
I’m convinced that all of the foolish Climate Change deniers will never get the seriousness of the impacts until their coffe and chocolate supplies dry up from the loss of the sensitive environments those commodities require.

Nah, you didn’t lose hope when you saw the videos. You only realized that you had none to begin with. Greta may be more show than substance, but she is still a very real symptom of the problem we have created. Moreover she represents only a somewhat elevated version of the attitude held by the generation who will very shortly be running the world.
