When I went outside to take out some trash a few hours ago, I saw a gray kitten in my yard. It looked to be about the same age as my Oliver and just about the same color too, but maybe a shade or two darker gray. It wouldn’t let me near it. I hope it wasn’t dumped. It was a little thin, but not to the point where it looked malnourished. I put some kitten food out for it and I just checked a little while ago and the food was gone. I hope the kitten ate it, rather than a possum or raccoon. I’d love to catch it if it is homeless. It would be a perfect playmate for Oliver, who is driving my older cats crazy when he tries to get them to play with him.

I admire your kindness…and ingenuity.

Thank you, sweetpea. The bird feeder is down at present but when it is working the birds manage to knock off seeds, as I can see birds on the ground getting their share and squirrels help out too. Last year one squirrel would climb the pole and would put a huge dent in a full feeder.

Roy adores Duck meat, on Duck night we tell him “he’s in luck, it’s time for Duck!” he will be very attentive to make sure he does not miss even a tiny morsel of his favorite meat.

I’m very fond of duck. Save the fat and cook potatoes in it. Heavenly!!

I am curious as to what is in his tiny little suitcase.

Certain meats are not allowed in this house. Lamb, veal, duck and bologna. That last one is just because it’s gross and smelly.

Hope the shipment of Oranges is ready in the kitchen…..

I wonder if they’ll ask him to bring orange sauce. On another note, saw two rabbits and two robins while out walking today.
