Bottles, six packs or cases? I don’t what beer costs. What will $50 get you?
Poor Scooter has to go the vet tomorrow. He wasn’t happy when I told him about his appointment but I told him to suck it up. Then my doctors’ office called and said it’s time for my appointment. Scooter just laughed…I told the woman that the doc should give my time to a young, healthy person to keep him/her that way. I’m old and fat…not much you can do for me. She didn’t see it my way, the young whippersnapper. I heard Brad snickering so I asked the woman to find out if it was time for HIS appointment, too. Well, looky there! It IS time. Bahahaha!!
National Agriculture Day. My agriculture is my garden and I see I have just a few tiny little tomato plants starting to come up under my plant lights. The impatiens are coming along nicely so far. I’ll start marigold seeds soon, also under plant lights.
National Curl Crush Day. This is to celebrate your curly hair. My hair isn’t very curly.
World Panda Day
World Social Work Day
National Everything You Do Is Right Day. It’s my day off so I’m free to do lots of stuff.
I’m glad to say we only got about one inch of snow, so the roads were good when I drove home from work last night. Still, someone must have had trouble because I saw 3 cops cars with their lights flashing and there was another car there. It was too dark to see if they had run off the road or if there was damage to the car. Then closer to home, I saw a snow-covered car way off in a ditch. It must have been there a while to get so covered in snow. It stopped snowing a couple hours or so before I got off work. You’d think people from Wisconsin would be able to handle driving in an inch of snow – unless they hit black ice. The roads were wet, not snow covered and it was below freezing, so black ice is a possibility, but I didn’t have any troubles driving 55 mph on the highway.
I’m a bit shellshocked this morning, I got an email yesterday from my line manager to say that a colleague of ours had been rushed to hospital on Sunday evening. He’s been diagnosed with leukemia, and they operated on Monday afternoon to relieve the pressure in his brain. Unfortunately he didn’t make it, he was in his early forties and has left a wife and young son. He was in our Microsoft Teams video meeting on Friday and told us that he had to self isolate as he’d just had a covid test. Apparantly he’d been getting headaches and it was thought that it was covid related. He was well liked at work, a good guy. He was very fit, he used to do charity bike rides. I don’t know what to say really, other than Well, Crap! I spoke to another colleague who only saw the emails this morning, he couldn’t really believe it either.
I have never ever liked any kind of beer. My grandfather used to make me take a swallow of his Reiner Ale each afternoon when I was little. Awful. Now wine or beer would give me an instant migraine. haven’t had a glass in 40 years.
A bit of an OT comment—I just noticed a “new” comic (began March 7th): https://www.gocomics.com/mtpleasant/2021/03/07 A couple of city kids and their cat go to live with their rural grandparents. Talking animals (and even people), reasonably friendly tone, and some zaniness. (Yes, I am doing this on various comics. You’re welcome!)
Chesney will have to drink that Heineken on the loading dock. I’m not crazy about beer, or alcohol in general, although I have had a glass of wine once in a while. On another note, saw two finches, two varied thrushes, six robins, five juncos, two wrens, and a rabbit while out walking today.

I don’t know of any cats who like beer. >>>>>>>> Only a matter of time when someone comes on to relate a cat and beer story. ;-p

Heineken works for me, Chesney.

In honor of the season, shouldn’t that be Guinness (or maybe Harp if you’re not into “motor oil beer” as a friend of mine once called it)?

Seems awfully expensive…
