Generational Welfare. After decades of political oblivion, Americans in their 30s are finally getting paid! (Bill Clinton: Thirtysomethings suffer from lousy health care plans at work, so we're qualifying everyone in their 30s to get medicare!) Some naysayers grouse about the cost. But these Gen Xers- the "eventually elderly" desperately need health insurance after a decade of downsizing. (Woman: I could finally get that root canal I've been saying for!) (Man: Forget piercing... I'm gonna do some amputation!) Why cover aging dunkers and not people in their 20s, 40s, or 50s? Don't fall prey to envy- just be happy that thirtysomethings have their first entitlement program! (Man 2: This is a cynical sellout to pay off Clinton voters!) (Man 3: People of all ages get sick!) Um... sorry. Actually, medicare expansion is for boomers who are turning 50.) (Man 2: There could be no more intelligent use of tax dollars.) (Man: Maybe we should sign the whole country over to you pigs.)
