The larder? Does this candidate think women are raw food addicts?

You beat me to it – the current gov’t is indeed tearing apart everything that makes Canada a country to be proud of.
Glad Jan is commenting on the current political craziness!

George Carlin once said something about electing politicians to office who say government doesn’t work who then spend their entire terms proving it.

Canada is no paradise either as they believe a woman’s place in the igloo!

A Canadian I know told me the best thing about Canada was the border between it and the US— and how easy it was to go back and forth depending on your viewpoint that day.

Stone Soup used to be funny, until they started trying to blame their difficult circumstances on the absence of government control of our lives. People struggling with life day-to-day is a marvelous basis for art, and self-reliance is compelling. I quit reading “On a Claire Day” due to the whining.

Not to be political, but “Wisconsin legislator, Don Pridemore has made it known that he is against divorce under all circumstances—even when women are victims of spousal abuse. Stay married, he says and remember the good times.” http://blisstree.com/live/stupid-wisconsin-lawmaker-divorce-is-wrong-even-in-cases-of-abuse-385/

@jbmlaw See, the thing is, it’s not whining. If you’re a woman, then the things coming out of some of these republicans’ mouths are terrifying. Heck, even if you’re not a woman you should be a little angry. Anyone hear about this latest gem? ‘We don’t need equal pay laws because money is more important for men.’ http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2012/04/09/460917/wisconsin-state-senator-money-less-important-wome/

As a proud Canadian, I can vouch for the fact that our politics are just as messy and frustrating as any other country in the world. That said, we’d welcome the Stone Soup clan to our country! ;-)

So sad that a comic strip is inundated with political opinions masquerading as truth. It is possible that truth, like beauty, is in the eye and ear of the beholder and really depends on where you stand. Just enjoy the strip or read another one that aligns with your stance, please.

Sounds like Rick Santorum to me. Misogynist hobgoblin.

Still with the women-in-the-kitchen jokes, huh? hehe

If I knew who that candidate was, I would do the Dance of Death on the jerk.

So true. I miss the true Canadian politician who wasn’t afraid to have Canadian policies that reflected OUR ideals rather than the American ideal.
