Sorry to have to burst your balloons, Steve Breen, but you are full of hot air on this one.
Democrats are not promising “Free stuff” any more than law enforcement, fire fighters, public education K-12, disaster relief first responders or the military is “free stuff.” Stop passing along TrumpubliCON lies.
There is no such thing as a free lunch.
But we do recognize that there are legitimate PUBLIC POLICY issues involving universal access to health care (access to life saving health care should not be RATIONED based on where you work or how much money you have) and public education, just like we have for K-12 but through a bachelor’s degree or trade school degree since those are now required to get ahead in life just as a high school diploma was once all that was needed for most people.
These things are not and will not be free, any more than police, firefighters, school teachers or our brave military heroes. We will pay for them through taxes.
But we will pay LESS for them than we now pay. We will stop paying MORE out of our personal funds to private-sector, for-profit middlemen who suck out the money for their personal and corporate profits, and we will pay through TAXES, but it will be LESS than we are now paying to enrich for-profit corporations.
