China is a totalitarian dictatorship. The citizens there have absolutely no say whatsoever in how they are governed. Law & order reigns supreme because the state does whatever it wants with the people, some one and one-half billion of them. Their people serve the government and that government and economy is as stable as it is possible to be.
The mortal danger for America and our allies is not in having China for an adversary, but having them as a friend. Money will always gravitate towards stability. Dictatorships offer the most stability.
Freedom and justice must be the universal ideals for the U.S. and our allies, for without them all people are slaves. America and the world’s other democratic countries are all that stands between China and the other dictatorships extinguishing human freedom and self-determination.
When we show signs of instability in our idealism, commitment to our democratic allies, our imperfect system of all having equal say and equal rights, the dictators come that much closer to enslaving all the world- including us.
Banded together the countries that are governed by their citizens are more than a match for these ‘evil empires’. Our lawmakers that serve at our discretion can continue to (or start anew) showing the world that freedom – no matter how sloppy or temporarily unstable – is the only acceptable condition for humans.
