I know it’s a cartoon and exaggerates for effect, but surely in real life most of those 35 merit badges would’ve been for actual praiseworthy accomplishments.
BTW, I notice that almost everybody still thinks that each agency’s inspector general is on the up and up and “tells it like it is”, to quote Howard Cosell. Same with the Congressional Budget Office and the Office of Government Ethics. So how long, do you suppose, before the fascists try to find a way to co-opt or subvert them, too?
