@StoicLionI agree with you. bpullin disturbed a very large honet’s nest. But I will let it go with that. He or she dug the grave, now lay in it and enjoy the comeuppance.
Sorry, I’m with bpullin on this. She’s got one kid, no job, and a husband who adores her and does plenty of things for her. She needs to wake up and realize she’s got it made compared to 90% of the women in this country.
“What’s her problem??”As I’ve mentioned before, Rose may have a congenital condition such as dysthymia, “a mood disorder consisting of the same cognitive and physical problems as in depression, with less severe but longer-lasting symptoms” (Wikipedia); bipolar disorder; or a similar condition. The poem “Richard Cory” speaks powerfully to the phenomenon of how someone who apparently has it all, really doesn’t. Seehttp://www.poemhunter.com/poem/richard-cory/
What is it about this day’s strip that’s bringing out all the Laz-E-Boy psychologists amongst us? Rose pitches a silent hissy tantrum, but then gets on with life, like many of us. Alas, that’s life in the age of over-analyzing trivial matters, especially in comic strips.
@Duffer37Excuse me, but she does have a job. Taking care of a house and raising a child is a full time job. She might not be paid, but trust me, that is a job. Never, ever say stay-at-home moms don’t have a job. I also hate it when people call stay-at-moms stuped and lazy, becuase we are not. Many of us are well educated. We just decided we wanted to raise our children and not pay some stranger to do it for us.
I wholeheartedly agree that being a stay-at-home mother is a full time job, 24/7/365. I may be single, but I appreciate what you do in raising a family and running a household.
Breeders? Well don’t hold back, tell us how you really feel about people who choose to become parents. I am quite sure you are happy in you state of not having children, everything is perfect in your house, and everything is just the way you like it. But don’t put down those of us who do have children by calling us “breeders”. For your information it does not make you sound really super intelligent. It just makes you sound very stuck up and unlikeable.Cheers.

“if its silent why does it show her yelling like a little baby?”She’s not necessarily making any noise. She’s lip-synching, as it were.

ComicsJester: Maybe Rose just went through the motions and didn’t let out a sound.

Apparently, you were an orphan. Otherwise, your mother would be gently chastising you about now.

I would be the same way if I had a sister like you have and her crazy son Clem.
