I said once before I remembered a young Lucy being a good pitcher and someone told me I was mistaken. Maybe I was, but this is the first time I’ve seen this strip and it has me remembering her pitching again.

You know, I’m beginning to be of the opinion that the problem with Charlie Brown’s baseball team is that he’s got his players in the wrong positions. Lucy is clearly shortstop material, so why is she playing outfield later on?

I’m surprised that leaving his baseball glove on the sidewalk didn’t cause it to be stolen by someone unknown. Ah, the safe world of the 1950s.

The only times his team wins is when he doesn’t play (and when the opposing pitcher lets him hit home runs). But he never catches on to that

Ever consider not leaving it on the sidewalk every night, Charles?
