Especially when you are a chronic insomniac. I’ve battled it since I left grad school. :-(

Been getting that feeling lately. Don’t know if it’s the season change, the artificial time change, the news, or just age, but definitely not a sense of luxury.

Naps are wasted on the young! (one of my great pleasures is when my now 8yo would come to daddy and say I need a nap. Of course on daddy. We would nap together. Now at 8 it’s less often but he still does this.)

I was recently “retired” from my job. I no longer get up at 5 AM to exercise and get my day started. I now sleep in until 6 AM.

Raising two kids, and husband worked nights, I needed an hour of quiet. So I would have them go to their rooms and called it quiet time. Most times they would fall asleep or read and play, while I caught up on chores!

Sleep is a necessity, uninterrupted sleep is a luxury.

You know you are getting old when your childhood restrictions have become your current goals.
