Granted: He DID screw up because he SHOULD have said, “IF your policy MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE NEW LAW, YOU CAN KEEP IT.” As many, many plans indeed DO meet the law, or have been amended to meet it, not “dropped”, the basic statement IS much more true than false. But, yes, he should have been clearer.
IT also IS the insurance companies “doing the dirty”, NOT the law, per se.
But all the TEA party folks should keep in mind their propaganda isn’t new. Fred Koch, yes daddy to the Koch brothers and the “TEA party” was a co-founder with Robert Welch of the John Birch Society, so if the rhetoric, especially about Obama being “socialist” (he’s definitely NOT!) or “Communist”(even more definitely NOT) sounds familiar, it should!!
