    The “rational right” was last seen under Ike out in “public”. With Reagan’s “absent without leave” during his presidency, the radicals took more power, even GHW who still had a modicum of intellect left, gave up. In came “W”, and crew, and their pendulum got stuck on that ledge far, far, “stage right”, and the play goes on, with only bad actors in the lights.

    So the school killer would’ve had to carry 15 magazines instead of five. Why make it easier for psychos to kill as many people as possible? So a non-pro perp at (say) a movie theater or mall would be changing mags at a rate of 8 seconds each (assuming he’s doing it all at once, and after firing all rounds in a magazine) would cost at least two minutes. ’think some of the victims could escape or fight back during that time?
