Parents need the day care that in-person schools provide, and yes, kids do better in that environment, as well. However, you can’t command adult teachers and staff to put their health and lives in jeopardy without the minimal assurances of vaccination and COVID abatement measures. It’s a real dilemma.

There is going to have to be a “new normal”. Some kids thrive in an online school environment and some thrive with more social interaction and some need a combination. One-size-fits-all education doesn’t work and the lower-income areas need a HUGE increase in all kinds of support, including technology.

It does actually kind of depend on what is ON the screen. First person shooters? You need to go do something with your big muscles. 5th grade English: Yeah, it’s hard enough to stay awake in PERSON!
