A tragedy to history, and France owns it, not the church.

Wow! I always thought the cartoonists composed their comics weeks in advance.

They will rebuild. Yes, it won’t be the original, but it will serve to remind us of the ingenuity and perseverance of man.

Which leads to a question I’ve had for 18 years:

Why didn’t we rebuild the Twin Towers? In any other time in history, America would have been planning to rebuild even before the rubble was all taken away.

We would have also made sure to add an additional statue at the top of the towers: a set of huge hands with the middle fingers extended – pointing toward Saudi Arabia.

Instead, we wrung our collective, indecisive hands for ten years – just trying to agree how we should mourn and memorialize the tragedy.

We also started the longest U.S. war in history based purely on lies and greed because of it.

I loathe Trump and his “MAGA” mantra. He has absolutely no clue what it means to be great. America was always great – without having to strut and boast and bloviate. We simply did what was necessary, with determination and quiet resolve.

How the living hell did we arrive at this point in our country’s history??

Rebuild with steel rather than wood.

We are only thinking of doing now with a sense of pride what would have been done as a matter of course in the past.
