It’s hard to make a long term deal with a nation that has two disagreeable, dysfunctional, “I’m right, you’re wrong” political parties taking turns at undoing each other’s accomplishments. And it creates an opportunity for a person like the current occupant of the oval office who feels chaos is a good thing.
We really need to behave like the stable nation we were intended to be, resolve our different interpretations of the Constitution once and for all — through compromise — and make some progress toward a common goal not two different ones. We could be the world’s leader instead of the world’s most unreliable clown.
