When I was growing up in California in the 50/60s they had “Fair Trade” laws- the manufacture could set a minimum price and retail stores could not sell below that price. So for example Levi jeans would be $10 pair weather you bought them at a small mens’ shop or at Sears. Milk was like $.48 half gallon even though Safeway could have sold it at a profit for $.40. How many would favor taking this nationwide? A 65" Samsung tv would be $700 weather you buy it at Amazon, Crutchfield, Best Buy orPryor TV?
