Thanks to our tax code, the rich, their children and grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will be safe from suffering the consequences of their forefather’s greed.
Yeah, this toon says it all about the hypocrisy of Manchin and his support for the coal burning industry. West Virginia is very susceptible to flooding and with the CO2 levels rising from coal burning and the resulting climate change seriously affecting rainfall numbers, Sen.Manchin can ill afford to make matters worse. But, he likes having the coal companies donations to keep him in power, so he looks the other way while his people suffer.
The use of coal was declining even before Trump was president and continued ever since. We should be helping coal miners with early pensions for the older ones and retraining for the younger.
Holding back an infrastructure bill that will save his state. Too bad there aren’t two Republicans that want some attention for voting for the infrastructure bill and steal the spot light from Manchin and Sinema.
Then again, until it goes to vote we just don’t know. Wouldn’t that be a kicker.

Tell me again the advantage to having a Congress that only the wealthy — or those sponsored by the wealthy — can afford to run for office.

It will be a while before West Virginia has ocean front property, but half the state will be washed away in violent flash floods long before then.

As long as his coal money checks keep clearing the bank, I’m sure he’ll continue to not care.

He won’t be happy until that’s the whole world. And his beloved republicans are back in power.
