Tyr: I love this time of year, Hamhock! When I was a boy, we'd have our annual Yule Festival! On the Eve of December 24th, allfather Odin would go out to catch a boar for the Feast! He would fly through the night sky astride his eight-legged horse, Sleipnir! As the Yule log roared in the hearth, we would lay our shoes beside it, placing carrots and hay inside for Odin's steed! Odin would stop at every house on his way, and if Sleipnir enjoyed his treats, Odin would reward us with candy! Hamhock: Wait, Tyr, your holiday ritual was that a wise old white-bearded man would come around on a flying animal and put presents in children's footwear by a fireplace? Tyr: Yeah, so? Hamhock: Well, no wonder your culture didn't last with crazy traditions like that...
And why would a flying horse need eight legs?
