Denis, just a note, changes due to the Affordable Care Act have now brought down my annual premiums for that supplemental group plan, by $3,000 a year. Pretty good benefit for those carrying quality medical plans, not the “cheap” ones that don’t pay for anything, and didn’t qualify for ACA.

^tom; minimal increase in Medicare deduction, HUGE decrease in supplemental policy premiums because can now do self and spouse, not self and “family”, and that made the difference, and we couldn’t do that before the ACA. Having very costly surgery last year, with no copay, and having to have another minor work done this year, the new is MUCH better than the old for those who actually had good plans, and good doctors, which yes, we get to keep.
