Agree with the sentiment, but it should be noted that three of the four were born in Iran and Iran still sees them as Iranians subject to Iranian law, not “Foreigners”. So saying “U.S. hostages”, even under international law, does raise some questions. Iran sucks, but bombing another country isn’t the intelligent way to go.
