There are now some doctors who say that “medical marijuana” is a good sleep aid. In fact, there are different flavored chewables that are “cannabis infused”. Don’t know if you can get them without a prescription, though.
Happy Mother’s Day, Alley Cats!
My alarm clock broke. So I put up a Google unit that I just ask what time it is. I sleep better. It seems the red lettering on the alarm clock was still bright enough to disrupt my sleep.
100: Oh dear, it looks like Emily is trying to palm Clarissa off on poor Walt again. I’m a bit surprised that the quest for some decent liquor hasn’t been more a part of the last year and a half in the strip. I suppose the syndicate (cartoon syndicate/Tribune) might have discouraged King on grounds of ‘morality’.
80: It’s going to be hard for Skeex to get into trouble on this day, with all the women in his life there to keep an eye on each other.

60: Ha! Judy beat the nosy landlady and her bratty kid to the punch with this news ; )
Hm. With all the deserving mothers in the strip, I wish Jim had done a tribute to them instead of yet another Rufus-and-Joel corn pone opera.
I think that it was wrong for Judy to elope and hurt her mother like that. It was cruel and disrespectful.
Sorry, forgot again last night. Here’s a reference comment for people who want to read about and discuss the history of Gasoline Alley and place their comments in replies. Those who don’t can bypass the discussion by leaving the replies closed. Fair for everyone, I think.
Rip van Winkle invaded the area controlled by fairies and they made him sleep for 20 years to awaken in the future.
Back in the 70s I often went to junkyards to keep my car on the road. It was a relaxing afternoon, and I often kept looking after I’d found the parts I needed. When my own children were driving I was disappointed that most yards won’t let you in. Many won’t even sell parts, they are only crushing cars for the scrap value.
