Without the approval of Congress and err… the voters, there is not much a U.S. president can do to effect lasting progress.
We all want a hero to stand out front and champion my causes, and yet presidents are morally and legally bound to serve all just causes in the name of the people.
Love to have Lindsey Vaughn skiing and Flo-Jo running in every Olympics. No lesser Q.B. than Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady seems acceptable – except they are, of course. They have to be.
How hard can it be to chose reasonably scandal-free candidates that lead by example with a reasonably moral view? America has done it before and we can do it again. We did it without satellites, computers, or phones… and decent presidents served just the same.
