Hawley reminds me of something that happened in 1970. I was walking with some friends and saw two you businessman types harassing a young woman asking people to sign a petition against the Vietnam war. I was dressed up and wearing my beret. I walked up to them and asked where they served. They started mumbling excuses, “We were in college, and then we got jobs, and then married our wives, … …” I told them that I had recently gotten back from Vietnam and did not see anything wrong with what she was doing, so why did they? They left.
