    That would be Charles Dederich, sports fans, founder of the Synanon organization. It started out as a drug rehab program, but things got weird.

    Wrong- not “20” years ago. I dont know who started it but I remember that line on posters and such in the Seventies. Quite a few hippies still around then, hungover from the feel good era of flower power, Smiley Face signs, and Hang In There posters
