I don’t mind a dog taking a whizz in my yard it’s when they leave a number two i don’t like. I live on a corner during the summer before i mow the yard i have to go check the yard. I’m looking to see if some fine American citizen while walking their dog has let them leave a land mind or two.
Whenever I see somebody pick up after their dog in my yard I always try to make it a point to let them know that they can feel free to deposit it in my trash bin rather than having to carry it around on the rest of their walk.
All over Manila in the Philippines there are signs, “Bawal umihi dito” (forbidden to urinate here). There only one I ever saw that was actually effective added, “…may kuryente (there is electricity)”!

I don’t think they bother to think it. They just do it.

I’ve found that posting video from my house cameras on our local neighboorhood FB page has helped to “curb” some of the poop-n-run folks.
