    In College or Pro Sports, I would agree with Mr. Lombardi. In a “friendly” game of golf, I would have to go with Mr. Rice.It’s not whether you win or lose that’s important, it’s what’s at stake.

    Story is told of a general commanding a nearby military installation who could usually be found on the golf course (and who had a helipad put on the course in front of his office so he could get into those quick rounds quicker). As the story has it, a lieutenant not only beat him at golf one day, pretty much showed him up. That lieutenant had orders transferring him to some really crappy assignment before the next sun came up.
