A guy I used to work with had a bypass just a few weeks after I had mine. However, he refused to change his dietary habits saying no doctor was going to tell him how to live his life.He’s dead now.
My wife cleans house for a woman smoker. She has lung cancer now and had to take weeks of treatments and still goes for some every so often. The smoking still goes on. She is a retired school teacher and supposedly (SMART??)
My step-son’s mother-in-law was going through a series of some kind of laser treatments for lung cancer but continued to smoke the entire time. Of course she’s long passed now… Yet, at the same time my step-son went in for a physical, which he hadn’t had in years, and the doctor refused to give him one him until he stopped smoking! I’m sure glad I never had any interest in that disgusting habit!
