I know how you feel Boone, my cat is going to the vet in a few hours for her monthly asthma shot and it could get ugly.

My wife once trapped a big feral cat that was hanging around and was very proud that she had gotten close enough to snag this wild cat and toss him into a carrier. She took it to the low-cost spay and neuter clinic. On the way into the building, the carrier came apart, and the cat escaped and ran under the building. One of the male staff sent under to get it and found a big wasp nest the hard way. He eventually, after the usual struggle, cornered and caught the cat.The neutering was accomplished and one ear clipped to indicate that this feral had already been neutered. I picked the cat up and gave them a large donation. It was already in the carrier, so I didn’t look too close. I put in a shop vestibule to recover. When I checked it the next day, I noticed that it looked remarkably robust for a feral cat. That’s when I realized that she had actually trapped the neighbor’s cat of the same color. After that, he became much calmer and no longer fought with our cats and has lived far longer than any ranch cat of theirs ever did before, because he doesn’t roam the woods. But we had to admit to the neighbors that we had fixed their cat, which they thought was pretty funny. Never did catch that feral.

Cats can carry a lot of diseases. Boone should be more careful when helping Evelyn with her feral adventures…
