Yes! The GOP legislators don’t care whether they are lying or care about if it is found to a lie. They treat truth as though it doesn’t matter and I watched some Current TV and the GOP said they will not respond to the fact checkers, Romney is hiding something on his tax returns, took money from Bain, fired thousands, wants to make it illegal to get abortion, even anti-contraceptives in it’s platform. THe personhood bill and the tax breaks for the 1%. It will be the middle class who will pay for that tax cut by about $2,000 more taxes a year.

Three days of chest-thumping speeches about the infallibility of private enterprise, the tyranny of government (all speeches by government officials, of course) and teary-eyed portrayals of a corporate raider who wants to be king ….At the end of the day, it’s just a bunch of rich white men who want to continue using the government to achieve their corporate goals, enrich their families for eternity and maintain the illusion that what they’re doing is good for all of us.

Ryan blamed Obama for closing a GM plant in 2008, during the Bush administration. They’re repeating the “You didn’t build that” lie, the welfare-work lie, while saying that Romney was not “handed success.” For those claiming that the cartoon is a lie, can you tell me WHAT the Republicans have said that’s based on actual truth?

Not real familiar w/ Mr. Kaus, but:

PolitiFact checked a Romney campaign ad’s claim that Obama ended welfare work requirements earlier this month, rating it Pants On Fire. In reality, the Obama administration has said it will consider proposals from states that are aimed at finding better ways of getting welfare recipients into jobs. FactCheck.org and the Washington Post Fact Checker have also said the claim is false.

But the claim lives on. The Romney campaign has released two more ads repeating the line that work requirements were “gutted” line and it’s become a regular talking point for Romney campaign surrogates.

_ “Our most effective ad is our welfare ad,” strategist Ashley O’Connor said at an RNC forum on Tuesday._

_ “We’re not going to let our campaign be dictated by fact-checkers,” added Romney pollster Neil Newhouse._

The claim is a drastic distortion of what the Obama administration said it intends to do. By granting waivers to states, HHS is seeking to make welfare-to-work efforts more successful, not end them. The waivers would apply to individually evaluated pilot programs — HHS is not proposing a blanket, national change to welfare law. And there have been no comments by the Obama administration indicating such a dramatic shift in policy.

I scooped up the outflow from Ryan’s speech, and fertilized 300 acres of corn and soybeans. When they grow I can climb the plants, raid the giant’s castle, steal the goose and the golden eggs, that Ryan promised!!

Why are so many cartoonists and media not fair and balanced? Regardless of political opinion, can’t anyone be impartial and report facts? I’m an independent who voted for O and WILL NOT vote for him this time. My DAR ancestors will turn over if I have to leave the country under another 4 years of O.

when “fact checkers” are in actually biased liberal/leftists,then, no, no one should pay them any attention. Politico has been exposed as far-left pro Democrats….TalkingPoints website is propaganda for the Dems….they accuse GOP of “lies” with their own lying versions of “facts”….they omit facts to suit their pro-dem propaganda.example…Ryan was correct on Janesville Wisconsin temporary closing of a GM plant, which could have been re-opened with stimulus money but Obama chose instead to give $$ billions to the UAW union to take control of GM, and permanently closed the Janesville plant in 2009.-biased people have closed minds….as proven in reporting and in posting by haters of the GOP and haters of Conservatives and Green-eyed Jealous haters of all who succeed in business.
