Do you still beat your wive, Jim? I have no proof you ever did but the accusation is enough to investigate you.

You’re in the public domain so you MUST have dodged taxes at some point. Please prove you didn’t! Even though we have no proof you MUST show your readers you tax records to insure you’ve paid them.

Oh, none of my business, eh?

Be careful, sir, you hipocricy is showing.

Well hello to you too, Tigger!

What I’m saying is not that I believe Harry Reid, he’s just trying to goad him into doing it. I just think that we all have to live up to certain standards in this country to do anything. If the average American can be denied housing, employment, or loans due to credit scores or tax return irregularities, why shouldn’t someone who wants to be elected to a Federal office not be held to a higher standard? The only reason to hold back is because there is something you don’t want seen, such as tax loopholes or accounting practices denied the average person. If he has a record of abusing the system, he is not someone who should be President. If nothing is there, then what’s the problem? It would show he is just as law abiding as the rest of us pretend to be.

It’s not that he probably didn’t pay taxes, it’s that he’ll look so bad to the middle class if it turns out he has so many write-offs that he’s paying single-digit percentages and still says taxes on the wealthy are too high. If he’s paying <10% on millions, but a blue collar guy is paying >25% on $40k, Mittens just lost him.

….and your rants against Liberals are getting old too. Either say something nice, say something meaningful to all of us, or shut up and stay quiet..And no, I’m not a liberal, nor am I a conservatist. I am a Centrist.

If we suspect (quite justifiably) that ANY of these miscreants—Romney, Obama, Geitner, Harry Reid, the Koch Bros, whomever—are trying to use government to enrich themselves and their friends then we have every right to demand they make their motives as transparent as possible. Our republic is evolving (has already evolved?) into a plutocracy. We don’t need to be told by our PUBLIC SERVANTS that their business is none of OUR business. It is. As far as I’m concerned, Romney must dismiss this argument by telling us either how he’s been screwed by the IRS, or how the great deal on taxation he’s gotten somehow should be extended to the rest of us. He’s not doing it because he’s hiding something. Well then, Mr. Romney, go hide somewhere else than the highest office in the land.

I remember the TV version of Jack Benny’s vault, with Rochester and the alligator in the moat outside the vault. (Always liked Jack, maybe the dry humor, or the fact my middle name is associated with his musical director, a friend of the family.) That was “minor security” compared to the way Mitt has guarded his secret returns, WHILE HE DEMANDS HIS OPPONENT showed not only HER returns, but ALSO HER HUSBAND’S.

The REAL issue is whether a billionaire “tax dodger”, even if it IS done “legally” really represents, or WILL REPRESENT, “all Americans” or just the wealthy few in his country club set, who’ve also sent their untaxed wealth overseas for “protection”.

The other issue is the hypocrisy of those who’ve inherited wealth, and been provided for their entire lives to grow wealth WITHOUT ACTUALLY “working” for it, proclaiming how hard working they’ve been, when only lending their name, to the enterprise.(Which OTHERS have actually managed for them, at the expense of actual “workers”.)

Hello! If this were true, The IRS would have locked him up years ago..-—————————- Oh come now. It takes time for the IRS to build a case against someone. Look how long it took them to get Capone.

Now that Willard has been shown to have cheated on his property tax in Utah, he is still given a pass by the Fox ‘News’ viewers. Huh? Retroactively refile? And they still don’t think he should release his tax returns?-When Willard was asked if he ever paid less than 13.4% income tax for any year, HE SAID HE DIDN’T KNOW!-He didn’t know. Do the Republicans on this board believe that he does not know what he paid in income tax?-This is a person who has devoted himself to evading taxes his entire adult life and he doesn’t know?-I would invite any Fox ‘News’ viewers to respond to the substance here. Of course, to do so requires not mentioning any Democrats. Notice I said respond, not retaliate.

a serious illness can break a person financially forever. So can a fire a flood a hurricane a tornado or even totaling you car (medical expenses, maybe no way to get to work).Usually there is a hardship behind every bankruptcy, lost job, that puts a person a a situation to need help at least for a while. This is something that has to be endured to really understand it.Most repubs DON"T Want to understand. Until it happens to THEM.

I’m giggling at your comments.I am all for a government that is not so big that it chokes everyone, but yet not so small that people who need the benefits it provides (such as Seniors, Veterans, and people born with disabilities) do not get any help at all. What’s wrong with that?.Libertarianism? Is that a new religion? Sounds like it… and I don’t mind learning about new religions as I am not Christian nor of any of the so-called “organized” religions. I am Egyptian Pagan, although I started out my spiritual journey as a Christian. If you want to continue to debate that, tweet me and tell me your name from here so I remember who you are..And as for getting run over…. LOL! I have yet to get “run over” in here, thanks to my own Conservative mother. Now there is a woman who will verbally run you over if your facts are not straight! I learned how to argue with others from her, and am glad for the experience. Sometimes we argue just for the sake of the point/counterpoint discussions (although we sound as if we’re about to tear each other’s hair out), and because it’s a nice game of “who-can-outstubborn-who” that leaves her happy or just giggling. As I said in another part of the Forum, she’s also a Cancer patient as well as a guinea pig for the doctors. (She doesn’t mind ‘cause she knows that what they find out may help others.) So I make her laugh to keep her happy. .However, I do not watch that cursed Fox News (no, I didn’t curse them; they did it to themselves) but watch NBC instead as the local affiliate includes my county while the others either ignore it or pretend it doesn’t exist..Now I am going back to what I was doing: voicing my own opinion as well as flagging people who use generalities in their statements.

First, I have to know why they’re doing what they’re doing so I can correct them. I got fired from a job simply because someone thought I was being rude when all I did was follow company policy.
