At least his actions, past, and history are a matter of public record.

Yes there is, he can keep his promise and not run for a second term. By the way, the ones acting like thugs are the liberals and democrats.

Issa wanted documents, issa GOT documents. Maybe its time the CONs admit they don’t care about justice, and are only doing this to get at Obama.

Payne is just swallowing more “output” from the Fox den, and feeding it to others as well.

Where were you when Bush was cherry picking intelligence to get us into a war we did not need to fight?

@ruff: I’m so sorry that lma committed the grievous sin of disagreeing with your omniscient opinion. Since when does that qualify as a flaggable offense?Try to keep up – you liberals are supposed to be the ones against censorship, remember?

Oh come off it. It was clear from the start issa was going to hold Holder in contempt. This isn’t about justice, or a botched operation, or a dead border patrol agent. This is a game, pure and simple. Someone should hold issa in contempt.

My first real lesson in political reality was the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, so I have no illusions about Democratic administrations. Overall, recent Republican administrations have been worse, but nobody, including Obama, has been squeaky clean. Without knowing all the details, I would suspect that Holder should be called on the carpet. But beneath it all is a Republican desire to find something on the Democrats equal to either Watergate or Iran Contra. (Clinton’s affairs were sleazy to the extreme, but they didn’t have the same public consequences.) The run up to the War in Iraq should have been impeachable, but I think the Democrats decided the country couldn’t take another impeachment. It’s easy to become cynical. Personally, I put my political efforts into non-partisan organizing.

He does deserve justice, sadley, that is not the motivation of issa or the republicans. His main goal is to drag Obama through the mud.

^^They took over, held free elections, and they lost, initially. They did come back later. Simple fact, Samoza was FAR WORSE than Ortega and the Sandinista.

U.S. involvement in central and south America goes WAY back. Bush Sr’s “work” in Panama was NOT appreciated by the majority of Panamanians, by the way. Also, looking to drug “Interdiction” was usually to back up the guys Meese etc, had picked, like well, Noriega, and drive their challengers out of business.

Jack: speaking to “transparent”. The largest drug seizure in U.S. history up to the “Reagan era”, was at a warehouse in Los Angeles, they arrested the security guard. The OWNER of the warehouse, was Ed Meese’s brother, but don’t try to track down the information on that, it sort’a “disappeared” within hours of being discovered. And gee, it just happened to be at the same time Meese was setting up Noriega in the cocaine business, super big-time.
