I heard an interview with a lady on NPR a few years ago, who takes the shopping lists she finds, creates characters based on the items on the list, and performs monologues in a one-person show. It was interesting and intriguing.
My friends and I will try and come up with the weirdest combos. The winner stands at a tarp, duct tape, apples, pantyhose and a box of condoms in one purchase. The first two were for a project, the apples for an apple pie, the panty hose for the wife of the buyer and he being the crazy one of the bunch threw in the condoms just to get a WTF from the cashier.
Years ago, I was a cashier at a BigBox store and I checkout a man with 3 items – a box of bandages, Neosporin, and Training Wheels! I told him that he needed to Frame that receipt!
