Mom....Id really like a unicycle. you already have one. your bike in the garage has a flat! Dad, Can I have a unicycle? why do want a unicycle all of a sudden? actually, Ive wanted one for years. but I had to ask at the right time. The "right time"? You're wearing my lucky shirt! I successfully begged for my game station when you wore that! Not to mention my trampoline and pogo stick! So....with this short, ya can't miss. what do you say, Dad? You bought Jojo a unicycle?! I had on his lucky shirt!

My sister and I jumped on our pogo stick until we wore a split in the metal. Hmmm. I wonder if you can get them for little old ladies?

When I was trying to run a one-room, suburban recreation center for 45,000, we had a gap in the schedule just before school let out and it was free play to unwind. I would practice unicycle riding in that period. A postman friend dropped by after shift. Two men in early 20s came in and remarked about the unicycle. I gave a brief rundown of how to and rode around the room. The postie did a more elaborate demo. One asked to try it – and did everything short of summersaults on it. He handed it to his friend and said, “Try it, it’s easy.”
