This was such a great strip. When I get tired of the trash called “comic humour” these days I just come back to this. That last panel alone is pure gold.

I love when hobbes gets in calvins face. We should be so lucky to have a friendship like that.

You must be putting on weight, Calvin. Better lay off the chocolate frosted sugar bombs.

But Calvin, think of those “Succulent Lip Smackin’ Frog Legs”.

I feer, I’d like this leap play! Angry looking from Hobbes in the last panel wouldn’t help, I think, I’d like it and be happy!

Why do we never see Calvin riding Hobbes anyway?

Leap frog can be dangerous…but leap-tiger can be deadly!

Both Calvin and Hobbes should have realized that Hobbes would “make a very big frog”, but Hobbes would have a better argument if it were Moe leaping on his back, and he’d be thrilled if it were Susie. He’d give her a smooch, even! (Snagglepuss)

Calvin needs a better riposte in the last panel. I doubt that it will make a good ‘impression’ on Hobbes.

Maybe Hobbes needs ‘ribets’ in his back to make him more sturdy! Then he’ll groan less than the people who just read the awful pun!

Awwwwwww. Poor Hobbes.

Calvin is so boisterous. But I love him for that.

And this is why leaptiger never caught on. It’s easier to get onto the tiger than to get off.

Learn from this experience before you attempt to leap over Hobbes the next time, Calvin!!!!! ;-)
