Don’t forget, it is probable that That-a-Mom was drugged to the gills by this point, so a less-than-perfect memory is forgivable. I remember the births of my children being very much like the first memory shown, although reality tells me it was probably a lot more like the second.
My last foray into childbirth was less than six months ago, and still a little too raw in my memory… Especially as both of my children were born without pain relief… I almost wish someone had filmed the room (not the actual birth) just so I could see how my pain-hazed memory compares to what actually happened.
For me, it was a little of both. It was an amazing, exciting time, but at the same time I thought “what the heck just happened and what do I do with this crying kid now?” LOL!! ;-)I have 2 kids and each delivery was so different that it was “exciting” both times though.
