    The U.S. Navy taught us recruits that the only stupid question is the one you fail to ask. In other words, it’s better to ask a “stupid” question (and maybe get laughed at) than to not ask and then possibly DO something stupid (and potentially lethal) out of ignorance.

    I withdrew the comment…. I have a MIL that lives with us and has mild dementia….. asks frequently what day it is, where is her pocketbook… when is she going home… You are right…. it is no joke and it does break your heart…

    … not so obvious …“What time is midnight mass?”We usually start around 12:15, coz people are always late.“Who’s buried in Grant’s tomb?”Two answers:1. Ulysses S. Grant and his wife.2. No one. Grant’s tomb is a mausoleum, and the bodies are kept above ground. In order to be “buried”, the bodies have to be below ground.
