The biggest frauds in “medicare” and many programs over the last 30 years has been all the contracting and “privatization” of government (non profit) operations to private (profit making) corporations. The simple math is, if there is profit at every step of a process, the cost of that process goes UP.
Your right petergrt Obama will take care of us and Barbra Baxter & Nancy Pelosi will be are loving mothers. The government will feed us and love us and take care of us at no cost to us. Who will wipe my bottom today!Yes;I am using sarcasm everybody.
Onguard: IF the USPS is “More expensive”, please tell my why FedEx, a “private” (vehemently anti-union) company uses the Postal Service to deliver the packages you pay them to deliver, so they can increase their profit. Btw, when our packages sit in a FedEx transfer place for a week, then get delivered the next day when USPS gets it, how is that the Postal Service’s “slow delivery record”??? (Tracking has some “Interesting” outcomes.)
Got a package a couple weeks ago from the P.O. that we tracked through FedEx. Today, my carrier also commented in our conversation how many they’re delivering for FedEx. Lots of folks contract with USPS for rural delivery. FedEx “AIR” we get pretty quick, if you send FedEx “GROUND” to our area, the package sits until they have a full truckload to send over the mountain. USPS and UPS make no such distinction.
1. The US Postal Service has not received tax dollars since the 1980’s.2. It is obligated to deliver mail daily to all addresses.3. A First Class letter will be delivered in 1-3 days at a cost of $.45. A 13 oz package will be delivered in the same time frame for $3.42.4. UPS charges $27 to deliver a letter the next day. A 3 oz package will take up to a week and will cost over $8. And they do not deliver to all locations. Fedex rates and delivery are similar.
It looks to me like the Post Office is run better than UPS and Fedex.
It may look like Romney’s, but do know what they stuffed Obama’s doll with? That is the difference, no one knows. Has anyone ever read the Obama’s whole bill?

Given the enormous fraud pervasive in SS, Medicaire, etc. What is the only logical thing for a liberal to do?
That’s right. Create another even more massive government entitlement program.

Let’s see if you can comprehend this.

Some things the government should do. But the way Republicants run things when they’re in makes it hard to believe.
